Compensation to Victims
This amount represents the funds imposed on Germany concerning compensation to victims of the Occupation in Greece (1941-1944) for all causes: those killed, executed, or deceased due to famine and diseases. It should be noted that Greece lost 13.5% of its population during the Occupation.
The amount of the aforementioned funds, according to estimates by the Greek State and the General Accounting Office, was equivalent to $132,679,789,200 as of 12/31/2014 without interest. Taking into account a fixed annual interest rate of 3%, the above amount reached $1,328,000,000,000 as of 10/31/2025.
